MOUNTED PRINTS - Entries are either - Open Subject or Set Subject.
Each Print is 'spotted’ or Titled on the back at the centre top, to indicate which way up the print should be viewed.
Members may enter work which they have processed themselves or prints may be produced commercially from Members' own digital files, negatives or slides, monochrome or colour.
Digitally manipulated images are acceptable and to be judged by the same criteria as non-manipulated images
The competitions are divided into A Grade and B Grade. All images are accepted.
Good quality images may be awarded the following grades
• Merit A good quality print
• Highly Commended A high quality print that could be improved.
• Honours A very high quality print that holds your interest
The judge should comment on all entries (See Page "What Judges are looking for")
*Set Subject Images need to be - appropriate to the theme.
*Open Subject Images need to - ‘capture your interest in some way’
• You are cordially invited to attend the Club meeting to give your comments.
* Alternatively, you may write or type your comments to be read out at the meeting.
Please restrict comments to about 20 minutes.
We appreciate informal discussion with you after your presentation.
Competition results may be only part of the Club's evening program. There may be a guest speaker, or mini workshop.
